CALLING ALL ALUMNI!
Connally ISD is eager to work with the newly revived Connally Cadet Education Foundation!
The Education Foundation will host its first ever ALUMNI PICNIC on Saturday, May 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Mac Peoples Stadium. There will be tons of food, games, and activities that are suitable for the entire family! We hope to see as many alumni as possible at the event as we work to reconnect and show off our Cadet Pride!
The foundation, under the leadership of Linda Peoples Lindsey (Class of 1981), Dr. Chandai Phillips (Class of 1981), and Coach Clifford Anderson (Class of 1976), is continuing its alumni COMMUNITY CHALLENGE! The foundation is hoping to gather contact information for as many Cadet Alumni as possible! GOOD NEWS ALERT!
We have received word that our high school's AFJROTC Unit received an overall "EXCEEDS STANDARDS" score on their official evaluation. We are delighted to share some specific comments that they received:
"Your AFJROTC unit scored an overall “Exceeds Standards” rating. This is the highest rating
attainable! Congratulations to you, your instructors, and the cadet corps for a job well done! During
the visit, I was particularly impressed with the exemplary pride and professionalism demonstrated by
cadets throughout the day, their outstanding appearance in uniform, and their dedication to
community service and your school. Your personal commitment to this relationship is very much
appreciated and a model we desire in all our AFJROTC units. The instructors and cadets exceeded
the standards on four assessment checklist items and had zero discrepancies—an incredible
achievement!
I would also like to recognize the unwavering dedication of your AFJROTC instructor
team. Achieving an “Exceeds Standards” rating is no small feat; it takes a team effort and lots of hard
work. Both attributes were evident throughout the visit. Lt Col Matherne (ret) and MSgt Christian
(ret) are clearly invested in the leadership and character development of their cadets, providing an
unsurpassed level of mentorship and guidance daily. Your program established the benchmark for
others to follow!"

We are beyond proud of these outstanding students and educators! They truly model the #CadetStandard!
