Jan. 11, 2023 . CES Families, There has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 for a student and/or staff member on our campus. This is a general letter sent by the campus for transparency. You will be contacted more directly if the staff believes your child was “directly exposed”. Do I need to keep my child home from school? As long as your child has no COVID symptoms, or has not tested positive for COVID, you should continue attending school, but please carefully screen your child for symptoms each morning before coming to school. If he or she has any symptoms, please keep your child home and contact the campus office and your child’s doctor. Sincerely, Katie Redden, Principal

Hello Parents, My name is Katie Redden and I want to take this opportunity to let you know about some changes that have happened on campus. I have been hired as the new principal at Connally Elementary School. Mr. Oakley has decided to retire again in December when we go on Christmas break. He and his wife have plans to move to Ohio in the spring to be near family. Mr. Oakley will stay until December as the assistant principal and will assist with the transition and the hiring of a new assistant principal. This is my 19th year working in education. I spent 15 years as both a classroom teacher and a school counselor for elementary aged students. This is my 3rd year with Connally Elementary School as an administrator, and this age group is by far my favorite. I understand very well the challenges that face students, and I look forward to continuing to work with them to help them be successful both academically and socially. I will make every attempt to communicate with you as quickly as I can regarding any issues that may affect our campus, and look forward to the continued partnership we will have with your child. Please feel free to contact me at kredden@connally.org or via campus phone number at 254-750-7100. Thank you, Katie Redden

CES Families Only Hello Parents.......this message is for parents who pick up their students after school. Starting today, there are two ways you may pick up your child after school. The first way is to be in the car line with the the card in the window. The second way is to park in the parking lot and come into the main entrance, with your ID and your child will be called to the front office. Due to increased safety measures, you will no longer be able to stand outside the cafeteria door and wait for your child. We appreciate your assistance in keeping all of our students safe
