Welcome back, Cadets!
We are so excited to open the doors of our campuses tomorrow morning to all of our new and returning students. If last night indicated how the school year will go, it is going to be great! It was impressive to see so many families turn out to meet the teacher last night. In my 11 years as a Cadet, this was the best turnout I have ever seen. It truly conveys that we are building a partnership between home and school to educate our students.
The district aspires to continue growing the relationship between home and school by keeping you informed of events and news on our campuses. Beginning next week, you will receive the new Connally newsletter, The Flyover, appropriately named after our Connally Air Force Base namesake or, more specifically, James Connally. We will have news tidbits on happenings around the district and on your child’s campus each week. It will also include important calendar dates.
In addition, I encourage you to visit our website frequently. There is new information and pictures being posted daily. I also invite you to follow our X account (formerly Twitter), @connallyisd, and our Connally ISD Facebook account. You can also download the Connally ISD app from the App Store or get it on Google Play. After downloading the app to your smart device, make sure to set up your parent-teacher chat account preferences in the Rooms portion of the app. This will allow you to get important information from your child’s campus or chat with their teacher. Please visit the website for more information and videos with information to get this process started.
