Connally ISD will contract with McLennan County Elections Office to hold a Board of Trustees Election on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Places currently up for election in 2021 are:
Place 5: Greg Davis
Place 6: Steven Carter
Place 7: Jason Hancock

Candidate Eligibility Requirements:

  1. is a United States citizen;

  2. is 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled at the election or on the date of appointment, as applicable;

  3. has not been determined by a final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote;

  4. has not been finally convicted of a felony from which the individual has not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities

  5. has resided continuously in the state for 12 months and in the territory from which the office is elected for six months immediately preceding the following date: A. for an independent candidate, the date of the regular filing deadline for a candidate's application for a place on the ballot; B. for a write-in candidate, the date of the election at which the candidate's name is written in; or C. for an appointee to an office, the date the appointment is made;

  6. is registered to vote in the territory from which the office is elected on the date described at 5. above;

  7. satisfies any other eligibility requirements prescribed by law for the office

Filing Dates and Times:
Wednesday, January 13, 2021 - Friday, February 12, 2021, 8 am- 4:30 pm Monday-Thursday, 8-4 Friday
All completed forms must be filed in the Connally ISD Administration Building at 200 Cadet Way, Waco, Texas 76705.

Important Dates:

Canvassing (May 4, 2021-May 12, 2021) *Note: The canvass may not be conducted until the ballot board has verified and counted all provisional ballots, if a provisional ballot has been cast in the election, and counted all timely received mailed domestic ballots cast from addresses within the United States, and all timely received mailed ballots cast from addresses outside the United States (secs. 67.003 and 86.007). Notice of canvass must be posted at least 72 hours continuously before the canvass is conducted. Until the votes are canvassed, results are considered "Unofficial".  

Voter Information
Required Voter ID for Voting in Person:
 You may present a Texas Driver's License, Texas Election ID Certificate, Texas Personal ID Card, Texas Handgun License, U.S. Citizenship Certificate with photo, U.S. Military ID, or U.S. Passport. Voters under 70 may use ID not expired for more than 4 years. Voters over 70 may use ID regardless of the expiration date. Identification is used to identify you as the voter, not to prove residency. 

If you do not possess one of the primary forms of ID above and are unable to obtain one, you may fill out a Reasonable Impediment Declaration form and present the following as a secondary form of ID: Certified Domestic Birth Certificate, Current Utility Bill, Bank Statement, Government Paycheck, Paycheck, Government document with your name and address including your Voter Registration Certificate. The address on an acceptable form of photo identification or a supporting form of identification, if applicable, does not have to match the voter's address on the list of registered voters. For questions, please visit votetexas.gov.

Please remember that applications for Ballot by Mail (ABBM) are only mailed out by city/county/state candidates on even-numbered years. If you are over 65 or disabled and wish to receive a Ballot by Mail (BBM) on an odd-numbered year, please call the McLennan County Elections office at 757-5043 or Connally ISD at 296-6460 to request an application or go online and complete an application at http://www.co.mclennan.tx.us/1106/Voting-by-MailA completed application will keep you on the BBM list for one election year.

Senate Bill 902: (Effective Date of September 1, 2019)
Early Voting Rosters
: Amended Section 87.121 of the Code. Requires that information on the roster for a person who votes an early voting ballot by personal appearance must be made available for public inspection not later than 11 am on the day after the date the information is entered on the roster. Information on the roster for a person who votes an early voting ballot by mail must be made available for public inspection not later than 11 a.m. on the day following the day the early voting clerk receives a ballot voted by mail. Please note, each roster must be updated daily. In a primary election or the general election for state and county officers, the county elections officer must submit to the Secretary of State for posting on the Secretary of State’s internet website, in a downloadable format, certain information from the early voting rosters described by Sections 87.121(g) and (h) of the Code.
