Connally Independent School District, Home of the Cadets and UIL District 17-AAAA Academic Champions, is a preschool through 12th-grade public school. This school district proudly serves the cities of Lacy Lakeview and Waco, as well as the communities of Elm Mott, Chalk Bluff, and Gholson.
Connally prides itself on its caring family atmosphere and offers a challenging curriculum taught by highly qualified teachers. The Cadets enjoy exciting and competitive extracurricular activities such as athletics, marching band, dance team, cheerleading, honor society, student council, theatre, choir, and Air Force JROTC.
In fall 2015, CISD opened another beautiful campus, the Connally Early Childhood Center, which houses a child care facility for birth through 5 years old as well as grades Pre-K and Kindergarten.
Our Connally Career Tech Early College High School partnered with Texas State Technical College. This partnership offers students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree or up to 60 college hours. Free college tuition, textbooks, and tools are included for their field of study. We have recently added a partnership with McLennan Community College which will expand course offerings and certifications that students are able to graduate with. We are partnering with AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) for college readiness with two secondary campuses as AVID certified sites and two elementary campuses that anticipate being certified by the end of the year.
The mission of Connally ISD is to ensure the highest quality instruction for all students using methods that will show positive results and consistent gains in academic performance to the maximum of each student’s abilities. By involving the total school community, the District will equip students with the life skills of effective communications, problem-solving, technological literacy, job responsibility, and teamwork necessary for productive citizenship and leadership in our global society.
