UPDATE Effective September 1, 2020: House Bill 25 passed during the 85th Legislative Session, eliminated straight-party voting. If you wish to vote for all of the candidates affiliated with one party, you should select each candidate one at a time on your ballot.

UPDATE: On March 18, 2020, pursuant to Section 418.016 of the Texas Government Code, the Governor issued a proclamation (PDF) suspending certain provisions of the Texas Election Code and the Texas Water Code to allow all local political subdivisions that are utilizing the May 2, 2020 uniform election date to postpone their election to the November 3, 2020 uniform election date.

Connally ISD will contract with McLennan County Elections Office for the Board of Trustees Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Places currently up for election in 2020 are Place 3 and Place 4.

Important Dates:


Canvassing (Election Day-November 17) *Note: The canvass may not be conducted until the Early Voting Ballot Board (EVBB) has finished convening for all late-arriving overseas ballots and McLennan County Elections Office has verified and counted all provisional ballots. Voters who vote provisionally have from Election Day through November 9 to provide documentation to McLennan County Elections Office to ensure their provisional ballot is counted. Late-arriving ballots and provisional ballots will be reviewed and counted by McLennan County Elections Office on November 10. The District will have until November 17, 2020, to hold a Special Meeting to canvass the results. Until the votes are canvassed, results are considered "Unofficial".  

Please remember that applications for Ballot by Mail (ABBM) are only mailed out by city/county/state candidates on even-numbered years. If you are over 65 or disabled and wish to receive a Ballot by Mail (BBM) on an odd-numbered year, please call the McLennan County Elections office at 757-5043 or Connally ISD at 296-6460 to request an application or go online and complete an application at http://www.co.mclennan.tx.us/1106/Voting-by-MailA completed application will keep you on the BBM list for one election year.

Voter Information
Required Voter ID for Voting in Person: You may present a Texas Driver's License, Texas Election ID Certificate, Texas Personal ID Card, Texas Handgun License, U.S. Citizenship Certificate with photo, U.S. Military ID, or U.S. Passport. Voters under 70 may use ID not expired for more than 4 years. Voters over 70 may use ID regardless of the expiration date. Identification is used to identify you as the voter, not to prove residency. 

If you do not possess one of the primary forms of ID above and are unable to obtain one, you may fill out a Reasonable Impediment Declaration form and present the following as a secondary form of ID: Certified Domestic Birth Certificate, Current Utility Bill, Bank Statement, Government Paycheck, Paycheck, Government document with your name and address including your Voter Registration Certificate. The address on an acceptable form of photo identification or a supporting form of identification, if applicable, does not have to match the voter's address on the list of registered voters. For questions, please visit votetexas.gov.

Senate Bill 902: (Effective Date of September 1, 2019)
Early Voting Rosters: Amended Section 87.121 of the Code. Requires that information on the roster for a person who votes an early voting ballot by personal appearance must be made available for public inspection not later than 11 a.m. on the day after the date the information is entered on the roster. Information on the roster for a person who votes an early voting ballot by mail must be made available for public inspection not later than 11 a.m. on the day following the day the early voting clerk receives a ballot voted by mail. Please note, each roster must be updated daily. In a primary election or the general election for state and county officers, the county elections officer must submit to the Secretary of State for posting on the Secretary of State’s internet website, in a downloadable format, certain information from the early voting rosters described by Sections 87.121(g) and (h) of the Code.
