Vocational Adjustment Class (VAC)
 
The Vocational Adjustment Class is designed to introduce students to the word of work, and readies them for post-secondary vocational experiences. Students are eligible to participate in VAC if the meet each of the following criteria:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must be classified as a Junior or Senior
  • Must be receiving special services from Connally ISD
  • Must have a social security card, if not a social security number
  • Must be admitted through committee recommendation
  • Credits are awarded based on program compliance and amount of hours worked
In order for students to receive credit, they must work the specified number of hours, meet with the VAC at least once per week, have a job-site visit/employer contact at least once a six weeks, and bring pay stubs to the VAC as they are received.
 
On contact visits, students will review goals and objectives, discuss work-related issues and exercise problem solving in the work place.
