    Presentation Formats

    Presentation Session

Presentations consist of a presentation with handouts and time for interaction among the attendees and presenter(s). Presenters are encouraged to share proven strategies for successful curriculum integration from personal experience and research projects related to technology-based instruction.

    PC Hands-on Workshop

In workshops, the emphasis is on hands-on technology. Each workshop will have a limited enrollment to allow active attendee participation. Computer labs will have approximately 25 computers, depending on room assignment. Presenters are expected to provide handouts for session participants.

    BYOD Workshop

BYOD workshops are designed to be an interactive and hands-on learning experience for participants and is similar to a traditional workshop setting, but with the use of the attendee’s personal equipment. Presenters are expected to provide handouts and support materials for session participants that are supportive of the learning that participants can utilize in conjunction with their own devices during the session. (Not suitable for sessions requiring specialized software that isn’t widely available or cannot be downloaded freely and legally by participants.)

BYOD workshops can be PC, iDevices, Smartphones, or other hands-on platforms.

    Panel Presentation

A panel, consisting of 3-5 people, presents their views on a common theme, issue, or question, and then discusses them with the audience. Panel presentations are intended to provide attendees an opportunity to hear about specific topic(s) presented by several knowledgeable facilitators where each presenter will discuss their expert professional view(s) on the topic at hand. The presentation will help the participants further understand and evaluate the topics being discussed.
